Design Concepts

Just a collection of designs that I think are just generally incredible. More of a place for me to keep them all than anything else. Enjoy though.

For many years, Australian-based artist Ken Unsworth has made viewers hold their breaths with his timeless work entitled Suspended stone circle II, which features 103 river stones bound together by three sets of wires tied to rings and secured to the ceiling. They form a suspended disc, with each element resting perfectly in its place.

In the winter time when all of the trees have lost their leaves a big fake trees with plastic leaves was positioned at the highly frequented promenade of Frankfurts river Main. The trees were covered with oversized freshness bags on which was written: “Keep it fresh with freshness bags by Rubin”.

Interesting child abuse poster

A poster made by The Spanish organization ANAR Foundation (Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk). They started a new street poster campaign that uses the process of lenticular printing to secretly send a message to abused children without alerting their abusers, even if they’re walking together.

Anyone over 4’5” sees this view, with a caption: “Sometimes, child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.”

Anyone shorter sees the beaten child version of the poster with another caption saying: “If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you.”
